The lone egg 1

Posted by
Devi (Chennai, India) on 28 November 2019 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

My hubby says that all my Aminus3 friends are going to take the next flight to our City to pelt stones at me for posting eggs and pigeons again and again ! Ha ha ! I told him that they all look different and present different times !
Well, I am yet to travel outside the city on long trips and am still confined to current locations and short travels..
So..friends have to wait, till I make a loooooooooooooong travel !

Jypyä Pop from Turku, Finland

You are right. Yes, pigeons want to build a nest and eggs. Otherwise, their lineage will end.

@Jypyä Pop: You are very much in the right Jypya..A world without pigeons does not sound good !

You have to watch every day to see if the pigeons have laid other eggs

28 Nov 2019 6:32am

@By Marie: Marie.. It was sad.. The nest disappeared after four days..It happens at times..The parents push off the eggs and nest if they discover something wrong with the egg, I think and build a new one!

@Harry: Ha ha ha Those were taken at least four months ago..we just go to Bangalore and come back..five hours of Train travel..Nothing exciting enough to shoot except the travel and the garden at our son'e home. I dislike taking pictures of crowded stations !! Deserted railway stations with a couple of people is fine with me...All these metal and concrete monsters put me off :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

@Jerry: Thank you very much Jerry. I had to gingerly stretch and hold the camera outside the bedroom window and capture this...the nest was to my left on my neighbor's bathroom ventilator sill..The pigeons have been nesting here for years now :)
