Rose from United States

I always love the marigolds that have the yellow and that real dark color.

I laughed at your comment about the house I posted...after my accident last year, I am so glad I did not have a house like it. Not that I have ever wanted a two story house, except maybe as a kid. But I have wanted a yellow house. And this one looks so well built. But it is funny, some two story houses you go in, they are wonderful, and others seem full of doom and gloom.

22 Nov 2019 3:19pm

@Rose: Nice to have a two storied house Rose. But in my college days, I dreamed of a sprawling big mansion on a hill...rolling lawns, trees bearing fruits., plants sprouting lovely flowers, two gardeners; a big shed behind with four healthy cows and cowherd for taking them for grazing..yielding milk.Maids ( like the Victorian Era Homes in England ) ; butler; ah!! And now comes the rocker..Hold your breath.. lot of old aunts and moms ..and me having not less than a dozen kids :)))))))))))))))))))))))) But somewhere down the lane..years..the dream fizzled out when I started looking at the reality of the MODERN TEENAGE KIDS " Phew !! I would have collapsed !! you can get yourself a glass of cold water:)))

Marigold - this is a flower I know since we have them here. In fact, I just pulled up the dying plants from a pot of them and put in pansies because it is getting cold.

And I liked your reply to Rose about your dream of a big mansion on a hill, cows, old aunts and kids ... )

25 Nov 2019 4:27am

@Sam: Thank you Sam :)))) I really used to dream of a big bungalow and lots of kids...I love children..even now. But later the thought alarmed me ! And I stopped wishing thus :))) I remember my maternal grandmother pulling me up once when I was in the second year B A..for sitting and lighting the lamp in the puja room ..She asked " Can't you bend down and light the lamp? At your age, I had one in my womb, one on my lap, one in the dhooli, one walking around and you..with no such toils cannot light a lamp properly?" And I remember telling her, " Had you married me off when I was twelve, I too would have had so many children !! "
