The Doll Festival 9

Posted by
Devi (Chennai, India) on 3 November 2019 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

A few miniature vessels made of brass ..replicas of the bigger ones we used in our kitchens years ago before the advent of steel, china, microwave friendly wares, zepter etc.....Some of these vessels are still in use today in many of our homes.

Hope you liked the series:)))

The microwave really changed my kitchen work. Cooking in the morning porridge is really easy too. Water and wrinkles on the plate and a minute into the microwave and porridge are ready. Before it cooked, it lasted no matter how long and became more dishwashable. Yes, I liked this series.

@Jypyä Pop: I know Jypya that microwave ovens are quick!! I too use them. But Japan has said that Microwave cooking is very harmful to health and plans to get ris of all the Microwave ovens soon !! Too much radiation, they say ! May be we have to get back to firewood !! Ha ha ha..that would mean depletion of forests !! Best is to discover something to cure hunger so that man never feels the urge to eat!!!\:))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

@Elaine Hancock: Yes Elaine..Brings back memories of battling with the firewood oven and coating the underside of these vessels ( bigger version ) with ash, so that soot does nor collect on them! Butaw!! The dishes tasted certainly better those days !
