Gigisis from United States

Location ? Madras or away ?

15 Sep 2019 2:04pm

@Gigisis: Thank you very much Gigisis.. You made my day. This is at Uthandi, a few kilometres after the VGP Golden Beach on the Mahabalipuram Road. The Chinmaya Mission has built a very beautiful Temple here for Mahavishnu as Mathsyavathara Roopam. The statue is more than seven feet tall..beautifully carved ( half God and half fish ) and surrounded by 100 pillars in which the thousand names of Vishnu are carved in English, Sanskrit and Tamil..The whole Temple is open to the sky!The landscaping is great ! A fantastic temple...BUT NO PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED !! Aw :((((

Jerry from Aberdeen, United States

I've watched them do this in the Philippines. In some places the fish are so few that they net is extended a kilometer out and then it takes several people to slowly drag it back in.

15 Sep 2019 6:33pm

@Jerry: You are right Jerry. When they are out to get a big catch, they need more hands to drag the fish on to the shore !
