Safe Water

Posted by
Devi (Chennai, India) on 16 May 2019 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

We get safe drinking water from this contraption called " Water purifier."
You can see that water goes from a tap through that small cylindrical thingummy which has a filter inside and collects in the small tank like structure above. This holds twelve litres. We collect water from the tap on this contraption and is safe and pure. There is a process called Reverse Osmosis involved here.

Jypyä Pop from Turku, Finland

It is important that drinking water is available. It is safe to drink water from the tap in Finland. In the wilderness of Lapland you can drink directly from the stream and the water is fresh and tasty

@Jypyä Pop: Here it is not advisable to drink water from the tap here Jypya. This little gadget ensures cleaning the impurities.

Looks quite complicated. is the mains water not safe then?

16 May 2019 8:55am

@grouser: No grouser. At least we are a bit scared to drink it ! And we hate the taste of boiled water. This is safe and purified :))

We generally use a much smaller one. Common purifiers are directly connected to the tap. for example.

@Hiro: That looks very elegant and simple Hiro. Must see if it is available here :) Thank you :)
