Long blades of grass

Found this at our son's house in Bangalore. They said this was China Grass!! I would not know!

@Ronnie 2¢: Some say it is good and others consider it as not so good for health. They call is agar agar..Some say that it is same as ajini moto..rather confusing ! But uit is used to make the dish gleaming, I think. Haven't seen my DIL using it!
