Great capture of this fruitful harvest! From experience it seems like there is a short turnaround between ripe and spent mangos.

Those squirrels! They will be sampling more.

@Steve Rice: Yes sure they will. Once they are almost ripe, the gradener plucks them and we share. of course leaving a few for the squirrels and parak3eets. The crows are lazy..they will wait for someone else to eat half and then have an easy " feast on the left overs " .

12 Apr 2018 1:24am

@Elaine Hancock: Aw!! That's too bad Elaine..Hope they stop digging the soil !

Harry from Apex, NC, United States

It is always a dilemma whether to leave the fruit to ripen further, risking it to birds and squirrels, or to pick it now before its peak.

12 Apr 2018 1:37am

@Harry: We pick ninety percent of the mangoes( what ever is left after they bite ) leaving ten percent for them !!

B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United States

I'm glad you share your goodies with the critters. Some people think they are pests, but I like to watch them, and my cats really like to watch them from the window.
