The procession of Deities

Posted by
Devi (Chennai, India) on 2 October 2016 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

Deities of Lord Shiva and His consort Parvathi carried on the shoulders of devotees in the Temple festival.
Today is the first day of a Pooja for us, which we celebrate for nine days. It is called Navaraathri. Dolls are arranged on artificial shelf like steps in homes and we invite ladies and give them small gifts too along with some tasty goodies:)
