Three in a row !!

Posted by
Devi (Chennai, India) on 7 September 2016 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

In a Temple courtyard was this huge sal tree ..a few hundred years old. Saw these three owlets seated deep inside on a branch. One was turning the other side. The mother was hidden by the leaves. Took a few shots and this was the best I could get!! I know it is nothing much but I was thrilled to get this image !

grouser from Ludlow, United Kingdom

Did you try without flash? I think a closer crop would help as the burnt out branches in the foreground are rather overpowering, but great that you got them anyway

7 Sep 2016 9:19am

@grouser: I tried without the flash but nothing came out. They were up in the tree atleast some twelve feet above ! The best part was that they did not move away!!! This at a time when it was noon and the sun was overhead! Yes..may be I should crop the image and see the outcome too!
