Ah!! My scary neighbours !!! once a baby bat flew into our home through the balcony and we had a time chasing him out!!

What an unsettling presence these have . . this is reminding me that it is some years since I have seen bats around my way . . although I know they are there somewhere !

@Ronnie 2¢: Yes Ronnie..Initially I used to be a bit apprehensive but they are harmless and don't cross your path...Nice to watch them fly around at day break and after sunset! Once on a full moon they were flying across the moon..what a sight it was !! But I am not such a good photographer that I could shoot the image of a bat in the moon!

@Jypyä Pop: Mercifully they don't visit us Jypya...nor out mango trees though they can be heard at our neighbour's mango tree!

Many years ago I stayed in a room in Goa that I shared with two bats. After the first night when they flew within inches of my face to check me out they left me alone completely. Will we get closer still ?

Yes, now I see the true size of these bats. Does it funny how they hang in the tree. Perhaps they are waiting for a victim? Well photographed.

These bats look HUGE! Seeing so many is quite intimidating. Several times we have had a bat in our home. My husband was very adept at getting them out.
