@Kate: They are very nutritious vegetables rich in iron Kate, with a great taste. They are long and ribbed fleshy inside and seeds.The outer skin has to be discarded eating the fleshy part and the tender seeds. The Botanical name is Moringa Pterygosperma ( the Moringa is our local language Tamil and thePterygosperma is Greek- meaning winged seeds) You can see the picture if you go to google with these words.Thank you :-)
